How it fits together
You build a cart — a set of modules and settings — in the Shopify admin. Nothing you change there affects your storefront until you publish it. Publishing writes your cart to your shop and, if you use reward tiers or offers, creates the Shopify discount that pays them out.
On the storefront, an app embed loads a small script. When a shopper opens their cart, the drawer takes over from your theme's cart and renders the modules you published.
What it is careful about
- Your theme's look. The drawer inherits your fonts and can sample your colours, so it does not arrive looking like a different website.
- Speed. Nothing heavy loads until a shopper reaches for their cart, and the drawer is built not to shift your page as it appears.
- Your other apps. We never hide another cart app to win. If you run two, you will see two, and you should turn one off.
- Falling back. If anything goes wrong the shopper gets your theme's own cart rather than a broken one.
