Turn the cart on
Installing the app does not put the cart on your storefront. One switch in the theme editor does, and the same switch takes it off again.
Enable the app embed
- In Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes.
- On your live theme, click Customize.
- In the left sidebar, open App embeds.
- Switch Smart Cart - Sofcy on.
- Click Save.
It is an app embed, not a section you place — the cart has to be available on every page, so there is nothing to drag into a template.
The embed alone is not enough: you also need a published cart. If the embed is on and nothing appears, see Troubleshooting — the page tells you which of the two is missing.
Test it before you trust it
Enable the embed on a duplicate of your theme first if you would rather not experiment on the live one. Shopify's preview link works normally with the cart.
Turning it off
The same switch. Turning the embed off returns shoppers to your theme's built-in cart immediately, deletes nothing, and does not uninstall the app. Your published cart is waiting when you switch it back on.
